Scholura Privacy Notice
Effective date: November 2, 2026
The short version: Scholura does not collect personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, no cookies, no ads and no tracking of individual visitors. We count visits anonymously (see "Visit counts" below). Your progress stays on your own device.
What stays on your device
Scholura saves your points, streaks, recommended practice and settings (such as the read-aloud voice) in your browser's own storage, on your device. It is never sent to us, and we have no copy.
- Clearing your browser's data deletes it.
- A different device or browser starts fresh.
- "Save a backup" downloads a small file to your device. You decide where it goes. "Load a backup" reads it back in your browser. The file is never uploaded to us.
Services the site uses
Like any website, Scholura relies on a few outside services. Each one receives the basic information every web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type, but nothing about your work in Scholura.
- Cloudflare hosts the site. It processes requests to deliver pages and to protect the site from attacks, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. It also counts visits for us (see "Visit counts").
- Desmos graphing calculator (College Board version): loads only when you open the calculator. Desmos's privacy policy applies.
- Online voices for read-aloud: off unless you choose one. If you pick a voice marked "online", your browser sends the text of the worked solution to the voice's provider (for example Google or Microsoft) to be spoken. Voices marked as on your device send nothing.
Visit counts
Scholura uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people use the site, so we know what is worth improving. A small script on each page tells Cloudflare which page was viewed, the type of browser and device, the country, and how fast the page loaded. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It does not identify you or follow you across visits or other sites. We see only totals, such as "120 visits to Unit 4 this week". Nothing about your work in Scholura is sent: not your answers, points or progress.
We do not sell, rent or share information.
Students and schools
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA).
- We don't receive or store education records (the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, FERPA). Nothing a student does in Scholura reaches us.
- Schools may still have their own review process for websites. We are glad to answer questions at scholura.team@gmail.com.
If you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and message. We use them only to reply, and we don't share them.
Changes
If this notice changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If Scholura ever starts collecting personal information, we will update this notice before it does.
